Central Nevada Museum & Historical Society
This museum has an extensive collection of 2,700 historic maps and
blueprint drawings. The collection contains maps of historic mines
throughout central Nevada, including Tonopah, Goldfield, Rhyolite,
Beatty and Round Mountain. In addition to mining maps there are
also current and historic editions of United States Geological Survey's
topographic, general highway maps, townsite maps and aerial photographs.
The society has also a large collection of photographs, manuscripts,
newspapers and books. Located at 1900 Logan Field Road, Tonopah.

"DeSotos, Dames & Dudes: Divorce Reno-Style" presents the history
of divorce in Nevada through Oct. 3. Automobiles at the museum include
James Dean's '49 Merc and Elvis' '73 Cadillac, along with more than
220 cars reflecting different eras of American history from horseless
carriages to modern racecars. The museum's library, though not open
to the public, can be accessed for renovation information on old
